斯特拉文斯基虽然被归类于现代乐派，但他的前期创作具有浓郁的“强力集团”风格．表现出对异乎寻常的乐器色彩、枉烈的节奏。强大的力量和热情的偏爱。后期作品采用大量的强节奏与不协和音，据说其代表作《春之祭》厂1913年在巴黎首演时因为实在太出格而引起不小的骚动，即便现在看来，这部作品也是很诘屈聱牙的。但对众多的音响发烧友来说，其乐曲本身的音响对比却十分令人着迷，其中的铜管乐极其洪亮慑人。首演于19lO午的《火鸟》神秘而优美，但—些章节同样火爆吓人，被音响迷当做必不可少的试机利器。
